About Us

Dr. Rafael Mastov, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with more than 20 years of outpatient clinical experience, specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, pain management, and hands-on manual therapy. He is the Founder and Director of Advance Care Physical Therapy, P.C., established in 2004.

Dr. Mastov earned his Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the City University of New York at the College of Staten Island and later completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Scholastica. His advanced professional training includes Pain Management, Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA), and advanced manual therapy techniques.

Throughout his career, Dr. Mastov has treated a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including neck and back pain, sciatica, shoulder and rotator cuff conditions, ACL/PCL injuries, joint replacements, and complex musculoskeletal injuries.

His professional experience also extends to education and research. Dr. Mastov has presented at professional conferences, lectured to physical therapy students, and contributed to published work involving spinal decompression therapy for neck and back pain.

At Advance Care Physical Therapy, Dr. Mastov believes that treatment should be personal—not rushed or standardized. His approach combines comprehensive evaluation with manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and advanced rehabilitation technologies based on each patient’s individual needs.
